Dr. Martens Team Up With Tate Britain For The William Blake Collection

A misunderstood visionary, William Blake embodies the spirit of a Dr. Martens wearer – rebellious, free-thinking and creative – making him the perfect partner for a limited edition collection of DM’s, part of an ongoing partnership with Tate Britain.

Considered one of the greatest English artists of all time, Londoner Blake was disregarded during his lifetime, gaining critical acclaim only after his death. He angered and confused people with his political views and paintings of the mystical and occult.

Dr. Martens used two of Blake’s most famous and provocative painting; Satan Smiting Job With Sore Boils c.1826 and The House Of Death c.1795 to subvert classic Dr. Martens styles into pieces of wearable art.
