When Cheap Monday started in Stockholm in 2004, its founder Örjan Andersson created the skinniest jeans ever made: TIGHT. The unwashed, unisex, medium rise fit made history with its shockingly tight legs.
Today it has become an essential. Opposing the high-priced LA style denim popular at the time, TIGHT was made accessible to all at a great price.
The result was an immediate success, with the first eight hundred pairs flying off the shelves in a matter of just two weeks. TIGHT and its iconic skull logo became the groundbreaking signature of a disruptive brand and an instant favourite among young creatives.
TIGHT is the choice for women and men everywhere they go, day to night, Monday to Sunday. Dressed up or dressed down, mixing High End and High Street: there are a million ways to wear the fit.
The original design remains unchanged since 2004: same buttons, rivets, square top block and large pocket on the back.
This September sees Cheap Monday celebrate their very first denim style TIGHT, which kicked everything off for the Scandi brand way back when.
Updated for FW16 in 23 finishes including the original and best seller Tight New Black, there are 5 key finishes and all are organic inline with Cheap Monday’s journey towards sustainability. This will launch as part of a multimedia campaign across social media also called #TightAlright!
