Midé is a singer-songwriter and musician from London with an amazing way of connecting with a listener. His music has been described as what is missing in the sound scape of British Music. Even though Midé is an artist best enjoyed live, his music still maintains that quality of all good music that captivates you as you escape into his soulful melodies.
“I started off just writing a lot of poetry and I sang a little here and there but nothing serious. Eventually I picked up the guitar a couple of years ago to be able to write and perform like John Mayer and haven’t looked back since. Ever since losing my Dad to cancer just a couple of years ago, I’ve had an even stronger resolve to not only make the most of the present but also to make sure I do everything I can while I can. One of my biggest regrets is that he never got to see me play live so I have to constantly look ahead and appreciate the people who I’m fortunate to play for at every opportunity.”
Its been an incredible journey so far with a couple of EP’s and a debut album “E.G” – which SBTV described E.G as “one of the standout projects of 2014”, Hit The Floor called the album “one of the finest, sublime pieces of original British music that has been produced in a very long time”. From playing at his own launches to being on a bill with notable UK artists like Shakka, JP Cooper, and hosting a show that featured Ed Sheeran, Midé played his own packed out headline show in April 2015 at the Shaw Theatre.
Now with a new music and a growing sound Midé feels more bold and confident to take his music to different levels and try out different ideas that, even though are consistent with what I’m known for, still adds a new dimension to the sonic experience. “The plan is to play more and play better and take things bigger“.
Midé has just released his new track “All Over The Wire“. It’s definetly one of those tracks that will stay in your head and give you that feel-good feeling.
